- Handle procurement cycles, lead times and purchasing requirements for fruits, vegetables or groceries in a timely, satisfactory and cost-effective manner - Negotiation & finalization with vendors, follow-up with them for on time materials procurement - Work closely with global vendors with an overall focus on reducing procurement costs without compromising on quality - Determine the appropriate source selection for materials, services, considering cost, quality and reliability. - Cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers and alternate materials. - Interface with Quality Assurance for Vendor Selection and qualification - Control cost by continuously pursuing and exploring cost reduction opportunities like Strategic sourcing activity, price re-negotiation, opportunity buying, alternate vendor development, material substitution, packaging material cost reduction. - Preparing quotations comparison statement, purchase orders & maintaining various purchase document - Preparing Management Information System (MIS) on monthly basis to have a track on a month's purchase, expenses and division wise maintenance cost etc. Desired Candidate Profile - B.E. / MBA / Masters in Material Management with 5 to 9 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement of Fruits, Vegetable or Groceries. - Ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors & service providers - Ability to understand and influence both ends of the supply chain Purchasing and Customer Service - Experience of operating any ERP - Must be familiar with Indian tax regime, import / export tariffs and duties, accounts administration requirement - Must have excellent English, both written and verbal - Excellent Excel / Word / Office knowledge
