General Manager - Power Plant

- Expertise is day to day management of a power utility with generation, transmission and distribution components

- In depth understanding of all aspects of the business including:

Management of billing systems

Finance controls and reporting

Technical implementation of operation and maintenance programmes

Performance monitoring and reporting

Project management and implementation of new projects including, awarding contracts, equipment selection, and review of plant layout site drawings for execution

Availability analysis and corrective measure to improve performance of generating, transmission and distribution components

Contract management and administration experience

Spares and inventory management

- Academic qualifications to include a minimum engineering or business administration degree

- Communication skills are critical and preferably proven experience working in foreign or unfamiliar regions (particularly, East, West or Central Africa) that can demonstrate this are a plus
