General Manager - Plastic Manufacturing - Beverages

Requirement:

- Techno Commercial profile with 18+ years experience of managing P & L for a large to midsized Plastic Manufacturing such as Preforms,Jars,Straws,Caps etc.. (MUST)

- Technical qualification with familiarity with Husky machine's (MUST)

- Experience in Husky Machines

- Understand the Company's Mission, Vision & Core values and ensure adherence.

- Ensure the right understanding of the Objectives set by the COO/ Board.

- Advise COO/ Board of Director's on strategic issues, propose innovative management practices for short-term and long-term advantage of the business.

- Accurate Annual and Half yearly Budget preparation and submission to the Board, ensuring company's objective is met in terms of P & L , Revenue, Sales Volume , Profit growth.

- Oversee Asset management, cash Flow, banking relations, SAP management, risk management, audits & investments.

- Practice Authorization Management system well and empower team to take timely and good decisions .

- Ensure the manufacturing operation for all units run smoothly as per target efficiencies, yield and scrap rate , accomplishing production volume as budgeted.

- Report on operational performance , suggest improvements , oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits

- Direct and Control the efficient operation of plants and project works.

- Practice high level HSE policies across all business areas with period review.

- Develop and maintain Lean Manufacturing/ISO 22000 systems throughout the company to ensure that the best possible products and services are provided to customers.

- Implement efficient processes/standards , design policies aligned to overall strategy. Day to day practices to be compliant with TPM.

- Develop high Quality SOPs with team for improving and sustaining efficient operation in major area of the business.

- Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts to improve product quality.

- Ensure production as per required quality and quantity for all customers.

- Ensure Asset care , maintain optimum machine efficiency levels and wastage controls.

- Ensure good relationship with internal clients and other external customers through efficient customer service , thereby ensuring customer retention.

- Manage contracts & relations with customers, vendors, partners , stakeholders

- Ensure an efficient transportation system for timely delivery of goods to the customers.

- Ensure efficient material planning with central procurement department.

- Ensure good warehousing facilities (internal/external), maintain safe standards.

- Review the periodic aging report of all RM, PM and finished product and take appropriate action in time for slow moving and non-moving materials within the safety stock limit, with effective planning to ease out cash flow pressure on the system

Requirement:

1. Techno Commercial profile with 18+ years experience of managing P & L for a large to midsized Plastic Manufacturing company.

2. General management experience in a large / midsized Plastic manufacturing Company ( or has managed multiple Units ) , with an understanding of variables and market challenges in the Plastic manufacturing sector , ideally from Nigeria / Africa

3. Technical qualification with familiarity with Husky /Sacmi machine's is very essential.

4. Experience of managing Business Development and Sales added advantage.

5. Keen focus on financial controls / regulatory compliances.

6. Prior experience in delivering Greenfield / Brownfield projects in Plastic Manufacturing companies in Africa (ideally Nigeria), is preferred.

7. Experience of managing a diverse nationality workforce is preferred.

8. Experience of drawing up annual budgets for the department / projects, monitoring expenses and variables closely.

9. Keen focus on financial controls and regulatory compliances.

10. Demonstrate visible work enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, willing to take on high- intensity work pressure and environments with a readiness to travel for work.
