Position Title: General Manager

Location: Mumbai

Reports To: The position will directly report to GM and VP Commercial (EMEA, APAC and Latin America)

Direct Reports: Sales, Services, Marketing, Commercial Operations.

Position Summary : 

- The Group is in process of integrating the business. As a result of the acquisition, he company will become a stand along operating company inside the Group. There are numerous exciting opportunities associated with this change including products, how to drive strong results across business segments and developing new talent and processes.

Strategy and Goals (2-3 years) : 

Develop and execute sustainable long-term growth strategy in South Asia (India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal) and create a high-performance commercial organization. The General Manager for South Asia will lead a cross-functional team consisting of sales, service, marketing, commercial operations and deploy innovative direct and indirect Go-To-Market strategies to achieve consistent monthly, quarterly and annual goals of double-digit growth.

Responsibilities : 

- Build and lead a high-performing commercial team via hiring and strong retention, and in collaboration with the team and global functional leaders;

- Define and implement plans and actions that will drive sustainable top-and bottom-line growth

- Define and implement the optimal indirect distribution structure

- Implement a culture and business practices based on the toolkit and high employee engagement, which will include kaizen calendar, Champion Program, operating review, funnel management, and Policy Deployment efforts

- In the immediate term, there is an expectation that the position will play a key role in post integration activities for seamless/sustainable fashion with no measurable impacts to customers or employees;

- Support reposition Go-To-Market model for South Asia.

Anticipated Challenges : 

The company needs to achieve healthy growth in existing and new markets. The competitive situation is intense with different subindustry segment players.

Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent degree/diploma is considerable), Marketing or MBA preferred

- Proven leadership skills leading a business and managing a P&L, good performance track record

- Experience in sales and service

- Knowledge of the South Asia culture (when foreigner)

- Effectiveness in managing and leading in a matrix-structure

- Well-developed skill in working tender-based business with hospital stakeholders

- Post-merger integration experience is a plus
