Our Client's Company is a medium sized manufacturing business in the paper packaging industry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with strong market share and long standing track record of many years with consistent sales growth and profitability.
Customers are all business organizations in the United Arab Emirates and broader Arab Gulf region to whom the company supplies paper packaging as part of their supply chain in sectors such as packaged food, beverages, oil & Gas, building and construction products, retail traded goods. Customers utilize paper packaging to package their end products.
Job Description:
- Reporting to the Directors the candidate will be overall responsible for Business Development, P&L, Operations of the Plant, Business Growth. Manage customer relationships with top customers (varied sizes small, medium and large) and oversee engagement with all remaining customers who buy consistently as part of their supply chain process.
- Handle customer procurement managers and other staff onsite who influence purchase decision making process and feedback on suppliers
- Directly understand customer requirements in detail and plan ahead for their needs ensuring availability to required stock whenever required
- Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction and service delivered by working closely with production planning and dispatch for logistics.
- Directly handle customer relations and competitor relationships in competitive domestic market environment; Raw Material Planning & Procurement
- Responsible for planning raw material requirements based on Customer requirements and paper industry supply forecasts;
- Responsible for planning adequate, reliable and high quality supply of paper raw materials from suppliers and to ensure timely receipt of raw materials for production delays or inadequate raw material availability are not acceptable or tolerated.
- Responsible for minimizing wastage and maximizing usage of raw materials Profitability
- Responsible for maximizing sales and profitability.
Candidate Skills and Experience:
Minimum 12 years hands on General Management and P&L experience managing account relationships within the Packaging or Corrugation Industry.
Personal maturity and strong interpersonal skills to build customer rapport and -street mart - to handle competition
Experience in procurement of raw materials from suppliers; Experience selling packaging as part of a customer's supply chain process
Detail oriented nature with quest for perfection and quality.
Experience/knowledge of paper packaging industry is very helpful.
Ideally Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Post Graduate Management Qualification/ M.B.A.
Fluent in Hindi or Urdu, excellent spoken and written English
Ideal age is between 38 to 48 years. Prior experience living and working in the Arab Gulf is helpful. Overseas work experience is critical.
Willing to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
