General Manager Operations (South &amp; East India) - 1 No Candidates from Supply Chain &amp; Logistics &amp; Last mile delivery domain are preferred Job Responsibilities and Duties : Strategy and Development : - Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance General and Task Management : - Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers - Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance - Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs - Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers - Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency - Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria - Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery - Ensure effective performance reviews, especially for Operations team which has a dotted line to regional AMs. Escalate poor performers to respective HO teams - Supervise all administration activities of the regional team - approval for expense statements for travel and conveyance travel bills, safety and cleanliness of office premises, upkeep of office equipments, . - Maintain the confidentiality of customer data, office ledgers/registers, transactions, processes, systems, etc. - Responsible for overseeing maintenance and protection of office property, fixed assets, records, etc. Accounts : - Ensure proper keeping of accounts and books for the regional unit / profit center, as per organizational norms - Ensure adherence to process for expense claims for the region/unit - Analyze reports of the auditors and risk management team for the region/unit and take corrective actions to comply with. Finance : - Analyze profitability and cost management. - Monitoring the cash management process implemented in the region/unit - Ensure adherence of the cost of operations in the region to the business plan parameters - Suggest cost reduction steps and improve efficiency of the channel in the region Qualifications and Skills : - Graduate / Postgraduate or equivalent Business Degree Preferred (Post-Graduation from a premier institute will be added advantage) - 15 plus years of relevant industry experience with 5-7 years in a regional head level role preferably with Logistic background + with Logistics &amp; Supply Chain. Last Mile Delivery Domain - Strong MS Office Skills - Managed &amp; Worked within Large Teams - Proven experience of handling e-commerce and Hyper local operations - Age upper limit 40 years - Ability to handle stressful situation appropriately - Language capabilities Excellent communication over English &amp; Hindi (Written &amp; Verbal) one additional regional Language (Verbal): Tamil/ Telugu/ Kannada/ Malayalam/Bengali/Marathi - Not mandatory language
