General Manager - Operations (Highways) Job Responsibilities : 1. Coordination and Monitoring of O&M projects and ensure smooth functioning of projects. 2. Ensure all the projects comply with required CA provisions. 3. Preparation of approval notes and get the necessary approvals from CEO/COO/Board 4. Searching, Identification, Getting Quotations, Analysis, Negotiations and Finalisation of various Contractors/Vendors for different works for different projects. 5. Preparation and issuance of Work Orders (WO's) and Purchase Orders (PO's) to the Contractors/Vendors 6. Preparation of Contracts for MM works, O&M, TMS/HTMS after negotiations with the Contractors/Vendors 7. Preparation and checking of Annual O&M and Major Maintenance programs for projects and monitor the execution works as per the program. 8. Ensure the execution of MM works as per the specifications and standards by following all QA/QC plans as per requirement. 9. Checking and certification of Contractors/Vendor Bills for all the projects and HO 10. Preparation of letters/replies to clients/consultants/contractors/vendors and get the concurrence from CEO/COO and ensure timely submission of same through site teams. 11. Preparation of Change of Scope (COS) proposals in consultation with sites and get the concurrence from CEO/COO for submission. 12. Preparation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP's) for all the projects in consultation with all the stakeholders. 13. Monitor and control on expenditure and ensure optimum utilization of funds and within the AOP provisions 14. Preparation of justification and notes for non AOP items and get the approval from Board in emergency situations/conditions 15. Visit the projects on regular basis and ensure site activities are complying the requirements of CA ans set by the management & also guide and motivate the site teams for better performance. 16. Meet with Clients/IE on regular intervals during site visits and maintain a good relation in the interest of the business. 17. Exercise on bringing the excellence in O&M projects and work on savings and cost reduction by avoiding un wanted/un necessary expenditure. 18. Preparation and checking of various presentations (Board Meeting & Monthly Reviews) for the projects and submission of same to CEO/COO 19. Preparation and checking of various reports (MIS, CSR etc.) and submission to Board as per the requirements. 20. Involve in SEHS (Social, Environmental, Health and Safety) activities and ensure sites are fulfilling the required provisions. 21. Visit new projects and access the condition of road and preparation of MM and routine maintenance cost by complying the respective CA's and present it to Board 22. Preparation of strategies for taking over of new projects and assist CEO/COO in smooth takeover of projects. 23. Attend all the management/leadership meetings at HO internally as well as with Board 24. Follow up with F&A team at HO for release of contractor/vendor payments in timely manner and comply the observations made by F&A team. 25. Ensure the renewal of all insurance policies in time for the projects in coordination with insurance team at HO. Job Requirement : 1. B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and above 2. Additional qualification: MBA (Project Management/General Management) 3. Should have worked or working in similar position with reputed developers.
