General Manager - Marketing & Communication

Purpose Summary:

- Promote growth of Co's Line, Limited's profitable revenue through the effective development and implementation of communication and promotional strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develops and implements Marcomm strategy in support of Business Objectives.

- Formulates and integrates corporate branding, messaging, and graphics standards.

- Defines tactical promotional components of the marketing plans in alignment with business strategy, positioning and management guidance.

- Works closely with SLT, Business Development, and Business Unit leaders on corporate messaging and in support of Co's brand.

- Develops and manages integrated marketing campaigns to identified market opportunities incorporating competitive context and generating market share growth and customer loyalty.

- Leads the creative process for campaign development and execution with the creation of external promotional tools that support Maersk Line, Limited's brand position and promote the objectives of the corporation.

- Creates and publishes all print and electronic communication materials including brochures, presentations, sales toolkits/ sellsheets.

- Plans, formulates and manages all Co's advertising activities - both corporate promotional ads as well as sponsorship ads.

- Leads multimedia development and video/photo projects for the organisation.

- Designs and manages the content for the Organisation, Limited's external website.

- Designs strategy and executes Co's corporate sponsorships/memberships, tradeshows and conferences.

- Coordinates Co's Public Relations matters to include writing and channeling of press releases.

- Manages premium/promotional items design, selection and ordering.

- Leads and supports internal communication initiatives.

- Creates and publishes communiqu - including quarterly colleague newsletter Momentum - targeting Co's colleagues, and other internal constituents.

- Manages the content for Co's intranet site.

- Allocates and manages resources to ensure optimal cost/benefit and results.

- Formulates G&A budget for all Marcomm activities. Manages spending and approvals within guidelines.

- Selects and manages vendors.

- Manages Marcomm analyst.

- Develops KPIs and ROI methodology for measuring effectiveness of Marcomm activities and economies. Regularly measures and displays these results.

- Supports company commitment to ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 certification

- Performs other position related duties as specified by management

Qualification And Experience:

i. MBA in marketing communications field of 12 -18 Years of Experience in Marketing Communication with proven capability in writing material directed at internal and external audiences.

ii. Must have demonstrated experience in project management in a collaborative environment.

iii. Have an excellent understanding of how to use marketing tools and techniques to increase the visibility, profile and reputation of an organisation Have a good understanding of social media and the impact technology is having on communications and collaboration.

iv. A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide ranging communication strategies including all forms of media

v. Strong management and leadership skills demonstrated by evidence of leading high performing teams that contribute to organisational objectives and show resilience in the face of changing priorities.

vi. Experience of developing and managing strong and complex relationships across programmes as part of a centralised function and externally with multiple stakeholders.

vii. Experience of working in international organization

viii. Experience of managing of websites

ix. Experience of measuring the impact of communications products and changing strategies as a result of the findings

x. Excellent project management skills

xi. Proficient in the use of IT Systems including Microsoft Office packages

xii. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

xiii. Experience of representing an organisation at external events

xiv. The ability to multi-task in a complex and demanding environment

xv. The ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with a range of people (both internally and externally).

xvi. Strong attention to detail, and excellent time management skills

xvii. A commitment to team-work and working in a collegiate manner Enthusiastic, diplomatic and calm under pressure

xviii. Ability to develop creative ideas and transform them into practical reality.
