General Manager - Legal - Commercial - Real Estate

We have an opportunity for GM- Legal (Commercial) with an Indian organization for their Mumbai location

Purpose of the job: To provide timely legal advisory support to the business teams in handling the operational and compliance related issues pertaining to the commercial business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the Legal function of Commercial Business, identifying, anticipating and mitigating legal risk;

- Identifying and coordinating with various top counsels and advising the management on various deal structures, agreement templates;

- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various commercial documents, Lease Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, Mortgage Deeds, Development Agreement, Agreement for Sale etc.

Profile expectation;

Minimum Qualification: LLB from premium law schools

Minimum Experience: 10-15 years of experience, preferably on the commercial property side, of which at least 5-8 years in a law firm,

Experience in Retail/commercial leasing

Age: Under 40

He / she should have expert knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, Maharashtra Rent Control Act, real estate laws applicable to flat/apartment ownership like MOFA, RERA, etc.
