General Manager - Landscape Business

We are looking for a General Manager - Landscape to perform high-level management, coordination and oversight of the companies' day to day operations. The person in the role will work hand in hand with the Leadership to meet the overall goals and financial targets of the company and he/she will also keep a close eye on the day-to-day happenings with the entire operations staff, including the coordinators, purchasing, design/sales, horticulture departments, and installation and maintenance crews to ensure the client's properties are well maintained as is company equipment.

Responsibilities :

- Responsibilities include but not limited to; Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Project Management and Strategic Planning.

- This person should proactively develop and proposes processes, procedures and programs in all areas of Landscape operations

- Preparation of Concept Design / Master Plan and should guide designers for further detailing of landscape designs

- Will be involved in preparation of BOQ, Project specifications, Drawings, Estimation, BID Evaluation, recommendations for contractors etc

- Assist in overseeing and maintaining high quality work at each of the project sites

- Should pro-actively communicate with customers on site contacting them via phone and email or in person as required regarding enhancements, seasonal colors, and bulbs

- Will require preparing written reports and making presentations to clients

- Will interface with all levels of personnel both internally and outside the company as part of the operations

Candidate Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape, Horticulture, Agricultural, Civil Engineering or related with 10 years of landscape and management experience

- Must have experience in designing projects in different sectors like Buildings, Commercial complexes etc.

- Should also have experience overseeing landscaping crews for installation and maintenance, as well as landscape sales experience.

- Budget, P&L management, and forecasting experience

- Demonstrated skill in planning, directing, and administering company operations.

- Excellent writing and communication skills.

- Proficient computer skills and very comfortable working in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

- Experience using landscape design software or CAD helpful.
