General Manager - Information Technology - Oil Refinery Firm

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Applicants will be responsible for the overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT functions at the location (Corporate Office, Factories and any other branches). This includes directing all IT Operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

- Responsible to maintain and manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support all IT systems including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications and peripherals.

- Looking out for someone who can define the Company's strategy to support and accentuate implementation of the business strategy in line with market practices / trend and liaise with Functional Heads to understand technology needs and identify and deliver solutions to meet their needs.

- Applicants should be good at identifying new technologies / tools to support the ICT strategy implementation and work with Functional Heads to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness and foster innovation.

- Applicants will responsible to lead, design, develop and maintenance of the business applications including EPR (modernizing the legacy systems) and develop Standard Operating Procedures and best practices, including written protocols and guidance to IT team members and end users.

- Looking for applicants who can set up policies and procedures that act as guidelines for continuous automation of efficiency gaps and spearhead change management initiatives for adoption of new or improved IT processes and procedures across the organization.

- Responsible to execute new customization in SAP based business and module owners requirements and oversee systems development, enhancement and integration of new systems with existing systems.

- Applicants will be responsible in continuous benchmark of company's IT function for the best practices across the industry in order to provide a competitive advantage and support IT operations and maintain zero downtime through efficient processes and SLAs.

- Applicants should have good exposure towards planning budget for IT activities across the business units and locations along with annual budgeting process and to be the custodian of the company's intellectual property, information data, infrastructure, network systems, hardware / software systems by implementing a sound security access control framework.

- Responsible to ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation including systems, user manuals, license agreements, documentation of modifications and upgrades.

- Looking out for someone who can understand coding, development cycle, ERP, Business Intelligence, Financial Application and to retain and engage the talent employed and build a collaborative and high performance team.

- Applicants will be responsible in evaluating the performance of his direct reportees and provide performance evaluation reports to the HR & Admin department and assess the training needs of his staff and prepares a training plan in coordination with the HR & Admin department.

Core Deliverables :

- Applicants act as a bridge between IT & Business functions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of all Business Processes across functions.

- Responsible to adopt cutting edge IT practices and tools to provide all internal stake holders with updated information regularly and enable all businesses to generate superior Financial Returns by enabling Senior Mgmt with state of the art data Analytics to support quick decision making.

- Applicants should create an IT backbone to support Sales & Marketing functions with relevant tools for managing customer interactions, distribution of company brands with a competitive edge & creating superior Consumer Insights.

- Ensure all investments in IT & ITES for the company to generate targeted returns and required operational efficiencies and work closely with all business functions to understand their deliverables and work on enabling the same with appropriate IT support.

- Evolve Metrics to evaluate effectiveness of IT function and benchmark with best in class.

Job Requirements:

- Applicants should have done Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) with MCA will be an added advantage.

- Applicants should have at least 15 years of experience in IT field with minimum 5 - 6 years of experience as Head IT and hands on experience in ERP implementations, networking and programming will be an added advantage.

- Looking out for someone who are good at Technical Capability, Business Acumen, Strategic Thinking, Customer / Client Focus Leadership and very good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications / Google.

- Strong experience in heading corporate IT in a manufacturing set up is mandatory.
