General Manager-HR | B2B cross border commerce platform | Noida


Our client is a fast growing b2b cross border platform that promotes Indian handicrafts and artisanal products by connecting rural artisans with the global market via its tech platform. Some of its retail clients include Target, JCPenney, Zara, Ajio, Wills Lifestyle, FabIndia, Taneira, Go Colours, among others.

Founded by IIT Madras alumnus in 2017, it has raised a more than $9Mn in funding till date. This online cross-border trading platform has already impacted more than 2000 MSMEs in 3 countries.

As the General Manager - Human Resource, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization. Your primary focus will be on Recruitment & Selection, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management System, Employee Relations, and Payroll Management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization attracts, retains, and motivates the best talent while maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations.

What you need to do:

- Developing and implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to ensure the timely hiring of the right talent.

- Monitoring recruitment for all positions through job portals, recruiting from consultants, and referral policies.

- Maintaining and updating Total Manpower MIS and manage the Manpower Cost budget.

- Overseeing the payroll cycle, attendance tracking, and leave management.

- Implementing an ERP system and design a streamlined payroll process for efficient payroll management.

- Managing the performance appraisal process, including designing Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set performance standards for employees.

- Overseeing the annual appraisal system and increment process.

- Acting as a bridge between management and employees, addressing questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and resolving work-related issues.

- Negotiating and amicably settle disputes with workers while fostering a disciplined and harmonious working environment.

- Modifying and implementing various compensation plans, reward and recognition schemes, and HR policies, effectively communicating them across the organization.

- Ensuring end-to-end payroll management, including timely payments, adherence to SLAs, HR policies, employee taxation, and reimbursements.

- Managing quarterly and annual variable payments, monthly sales incentives payments, and statutory compliance.

- Generating and managing audit reports for top management, budget assessments, variance analysis, and MIS reports on the annual budget cost.

What you need to have:

- A minimum of four years of experience as an HR Generalist.

- MBA in HR, Management, Psychology, or a related field.

- Excellent working knowledge of HR policies and processes.

- Proven experience in setting up HR systems.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness and ability to multitask effectively when necessary.
