Salary Range: 10 - 12 LPA

Our client is a part of a logistics and transportation group and it is focused on providing warehousing services as well as warehouse management services to top MNCs.

The group turnover jumped from 80Cr to 500Cr in the last 7 years and is projected to touch 2000Cr in the next 10 years. The group employees 1000 employees in addition to having 1500+ contractual employees.

The group is committed to reshaping the current landscape of several Supply Chain Activities through their dedication and hard work, backed by modern technology and aggressive leadership. They have emerged as a leading logistics provider because of their philosophy to continually develop and improve their supply chain solutions to better serve their clients, which is the basis of their proven implementation methodology.They are focused on advanced technology, process consistency and exacting quality standards, which when properly employed, lead to supply chain velocity, visibility and agility improvements, yielding significant bottom line results in the traditional functional expenditures, as well as inventory carrying costs and revenue enhancements.

As a GM HR you will be responsible to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows :

1) Managing the end to end HR function for the organization

2) Execute Manpower Planning and Budgeting to have a roadmap for recruitment assignments

3) Provide leadership on HR issues such as reward strategy, employee relations, talent and performance management, organizational development/change, culture, leadership and learning

4) Bring forth innovative HR practices in the day to day functioning of the plant.

5) Manage the career planning and development plans for a staff span of more than 900 people (including blue collar workers)

6) Be the interface between the employees and the management with focus on helping solve work related problems, interpreting policies

7) Provide leadership and functional expertise for HR elements including thought leadership on transfer of processes and work, and resulting and people impacts

8) Manage retention of employees, employee morale and commitment through employee engagement activities

9) Keep ears to the ground and reach out to all employees through communication with employees at regular intervals to gather insights @ workplace and feed them back appropriately to the leadership team of the organisation

10) Provide employee development and counselling assistance to employees /team members to enhance employee performance and productivity

11) Act as a business partner and provide dashboards/analytics to business heads/department heads to help them have a pulse of their team.

12) Drive the implementation of the people strategy, performance culture and change management projects

13) Ensure compliance with all Security, Safety, Health & Environment and regulatory requirements as detailed in the Company's Policies

14) Be part of all key Top Management meetings to formulate Strategies for effective People Management.

15) Design, update and share SOPs of all HR processes; update HR policies in line with the business and organisation requirement

16) Identify Training Needs within the organisation, Develop and implement training strategies.

17) Manage industrial relations and maintain cordial relationships with labour unions.

Candidate Profile:

- Experience in innovative HR management in a professional environment

- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

- Ability to and experience overseeing multiple projects and prioritizing appropriately under pressure

- Must have experience in effectively managing and coaching people

- Prior experience of managing Employee relations and Industrial Relations

- Desired experience in one of these industries: courier, transportation, logistics, warehousing etc.
