General Manager - Founder's Office - FinTech Startup - IIM/ISB/IIT/BITS

About us : 

- We are a mission-oriented high-growth fintech startup whose first product is an innovative financing product to help parents manage their kid's school fee expense. We are building a suite of payments and financing products to make education spends more convenient, affordable and rewarding for parents.

- Our aim is to be a category creating company by adopting a first-principles approach to crafting financial products for the education vertical.

- Started by three co-founders (ex-Matrix Partners VC), with pedigreed educational background (IIT/IIM) and relevant professional experience in financial services (ex- Nomura, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Edelweiss Capital). More importantly, the founders have spent ten thousand hours in the space to deeply understand the needs of the customers and the other stakeholders.

- We are backed by marquee VC investors (Elevation Capital, Matrix Partners - investors in Paytm, Swiggy, Urban Company, Ola, Practo etc.) to realise this mission.

- And we are just getting started! This not just an opportunity to be part of the startup journey but help shape the journey by building things from scratch. We are looking to hire a General Manager who can own verticals within the company, ideate and lead new product lines, and lead functional teams within the company for execution. This is a high-impact, critical role to craft the future roadmap of the organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Opportunity to lead a vertical : Rewards and discovery platform for the best in class educational products and services 

- Drive adoption among existing customer base , Lead new customer acquisition and growth , Brand partnerships o Strategize and implement various modes of transactions on the platform

- Lead the ideation, planning, and execution of these initiatives / projects while working directly with the founding team 

- Own execution from strategy design and setup to pilot and eventual scale-up o Work closely with different teams within the company (sales, marketing, strategy, operations, and product) to execute the project

- Build and lead high-performing teams to scale these initiatives

- Core team member - work closely with founders on business planning and goal setting for the organization

Desired Qualifications : 

- Top tier colleges (IITs, IIMs, ISB, BITS etc.) + 2-6 years of experience in product development, growth, new initiatives at top startups

- Track record of outperformance / over-achieving targets in previous workplaces

- Experience in leading initiatives and delivering results in a time-bound manner

- Prior experience in early-stage startups or as a founder is a huge plus

- Prior exposure to B2c or understanding of financial services is a plus

Compensation - Negotiable based on candidate profile (structured as Fixed + Variable + ESOPs)
