Job Title: GM Finance

Reporting to: CEO

Direct Reportees: MIS Team, Planning, Accounts

Location: Gurgaon/ Delhi

Job Purpose:

Accomplishes group organization objectives in the areas of Finance & Accounts, Legal

Roles & Responsibilities:

The head finance is responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the group, including SBU- s, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

We would be more keen to look at persons who have had good exposure to running family held businesses / entrepreneurial enterprises, etc

Job Requirements:

Planning

1. Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

2. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

3. Develop financial and tax strategies

4. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

5. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Operations:

1. Financial Statements Analysis

2. FEMA / Banking Transactions

3. Mergers experience

4. Fundraising capability

5. Liasoning with Statutory Bodies / SEBI/ Financial institutions

6. Fund Management

7. Cash Flow management

8. Contracts / MOUs / JVs/ Agreements

9. Should have knowledge of statutory compliances of Gulf countries / Africa

10. Financial discipline management

11. Reconciliation / Inventory management/ Ratios / Business plan / MIS/ Financial forecasting etc.

Financial Information:

1. Design and oversee the issuance of financial information

2. Personally review and approve all statutory filings to Government authorities

3. Report financial results to the board of directors and management

Risk Management:

1. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

2. Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

3. Construct and monitor reliable control systems

4. Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

5. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

6. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

7. Report risk issues to the board of directors

8. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

9. Monitoring and mitigation of foreign exchange risks of the group

Funding :

1. Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

2. Overseeing group cash flows

3. Arrange for debt and equity financing

4. Invest funds

Third Parties :

1. Maintain banking relationships

2. Represent the company with bankers and investors

Qualifications:

The candidate chief financial officer should be a Chartered Accountant / MBA from a top business School, or equivalent business experience. An added Company Secretary qualification would be desirable.

Experience:

- 5 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.

- Overall around 12 to 15 years of experience is desirable

- A good knowledge of FEMA, RBI Regulations etc. for overseas subsidiaries in places such as Dubai and South Africa, as also knowledge of Company Law Board matters is essential.
