General Manager - Engineering - Twin Screw Extruder

The Incumbent plays a pivotal role in the success of Organization with a primary focus on sales, account management, customer retention, service, and relationship management. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, driving sales and revenue growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets

- Lead the sales team in prospecting, closing deals and managing customer accounts

Account Management:

- Maintain and nurture relationships with key accounts and existing/past customers

- Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and technical support

- Collaborate with the sales team to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities

- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively

- Gather feedback from customers and use it to improve products and services, communicate timely manner to operations head

Operations Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity

- Manage financial budgets, cost control and resource allocation

- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery and quality assurance

Leadership and Team Management:

- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team

- Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with organization's value systems

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for the company's growth.

- Identify market trends and opportunities to stay competitive in the industry

- Ensure the company complies with all relevant industry regulations and standards

- Keep up-to-date with changes in the regulatory landscape

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, financials, and operational metrics

- Analyse data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the business strategy

- Present on regular basis update to organizations management team regarding progress and seek support where needed to achieve agreed goals within timelines

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an institute/ university of repute. (Master's degree preferred)

- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, within the engineering/manufacturing sector

- Must have ability to close deals, be an effective negotiator with a focus on relationship building

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

- Must make himself available for key stakeholders, subordinates and colleagues for business conversations and problem solving

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
