General Manager Employee Relations

Key Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement employee relations strategies: Create and execute comprehensive employee relations strategies aligned with the company's goals and values. These strategies should aim to enhance employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention.

- Handle employee grievances and conflicts: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving employee grievances, conflicts, and disputes. Conduct thorough investigations, mediate discussions, and recommend appropriate resolutions in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.

- Provide guidance on employment policies and procedures: Interpret and communicate company policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization. Advise managers and employees on issues related to disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and workplace accommodations.

- Lead performance management initiatives: Collaborate with department heads to establish performance goals, provide performance feedback, and address performance-related issues. Implement performance management systems and processes to evaluate employee performance fairly and objectively.

- Conduct training and development programs: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities. Offer training sessions on topics such as conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, communication skills, and leadership development.

- Promote employee engagement and morale: Implement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and boost employee morale. Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee appreciation events to celebrate achievements and reinforce a sense of belonging.

- Monitor employee satisfaction and feedback: Establish mechanisms for collecting employee feedback, such as surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one discussions. Analyze feedback to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, and take proactive steps to address concerns and enhance employee satisfaction.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices: Keep abreast of developments in the field of employee relations, labor laws, and HR practices. Participate in professional development activities, attend conferences, and network with peers to exchange ideas and stay informed about emerging trends and innovative approaches.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Extensive experience in employee relations, HR management, or a related role.

- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.

- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
