Department Materials Management (MM) Division Operations

Reporting to Sr. GM (MM)

Purpose of this role To provide support to the Head of Materials Management in all procurement and sourcing of goods and services required for an effective supply chain of entire operations.

B. Tech/ M. Tech. in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering 12-15 years of experience in procurement management in any manufacturing industry with minimum 2-4 years in a middle management position

MBA with specialization in Supply Chain Mgt. Experience in Procurement in any Refractories Industry

2) Competencies Required

- Sound understanding of Procurement function and Commercial Knowledge

- Knowledge of Refractories Raw Materials and Raw Materials Market

- Ability to use analytical tools for optimizing procurement mgt., inventory mgt. vendor mgt, etc.

- Working knowledge in SAP - SCM Module - planning and organization skills

- Good networking & strong negotiation

- the ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines;

- Strong inclination towards Quality and Cost effectiveness

3) Key Deliverables

- Ensure Quality RMs, Spares and Services for across internal customers while developing and deploying systems to deliver it consistently

- Ensure and develop an alternate source for all single-source materials by increasing the vendor empanelment

- Ensure timely & safe dispatch through efficient Sales & Operation planning.

- Timely Availability of Materials for Plant Production following ROP/ROQ, MRP based procurement systems, Inventory Management, Logistics and all the areas of the organization.

- Develop and implement systems for ensuring efficient inbound movement of Materials, Execution of Services

- Optimum Inventory Management across all categories of RM, Fuel, and Spares in collaboration with internal customers and effective cost system ensuring zero difference in physical & book stock.

- Focus on getting materials within budget and at the right time along with Cost Reduction through negotiations.

- Engage actively in Customer Relationship Management along with implementing systems to take feedback into corrective/improvements in MMD

- Drive and Execute Employee Recognition in the department
