Position: General Manager/DGM - Retail with Large global American MNC
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Management degree with minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. The incumbent is required to work closely with the regional sales team, architects, designers and distributors
Industry-related experience is preferred.
Conceptualizing and implement long term strategies for regional expansion in India
Build the retail network by appointing planned showrooms/corner outlets.
Retail Sales Processes
Tracking Primary /Secondary Sales, Inventories
Building Sales Forecasting
Shop floor Staff Engagement.
Enhancing Distributor Engagement.
Establishing Action standards for new outlets
Develop interventions for architect engagement.
Analyze and evaluate regions/zones regarding sales trends, sales potentials, competition, economic/business conditions, and distributor performance, recommend changes in sales programs and distributorships to make area operation more effective in meeting sales volume quotas.
Design & execute timely trade promotions to ensure that retail inventories are optimal and sufficient push is mandatory by the distributors.
Work closely with Sales Training Manager and assist in resolving specific questions or problems regarding the sales programs, installation and after sales technical issues. Evaluate and approve defective product claim reports by distributors, retailers and customers.
Prepare annual sales forecast based on knowledge of regional sales trends, sales potentials, competition and economic/business conditions as well as distributors purchase/sales penetration performance.
Influencing Sales team and stakeholders in achieving the business ambition for the retail vertical.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Report to the Director Sales of India.
Frequently contact with the Regional Sales Managers and the Sales Executives in various regions.
Regularly contact with the Supply Chain Director, the Marketing Director, Finance Director and Human Resources Director.
Frequently contact with major distributors and commercial outlets in the India market.
