General Manager/Deputy General Manager - Group Projects - Construction Firm

Position: General Manager / Dy General Manager/Senior Manager

Reports to : AVP - Group Projects

Function: Projects

Department: Group Projects

Location - Mumbai

Skills and Qualifications required:

1. B.E./B.Tech degree (preferably in Mechanical/Chemicalengg) with minimum 10 years of experience out of which 6-8 years should be at construction sites

2. Good oral and written communication skills

3. Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and problem resolution

4. Result oriented, must be able to work independently with accuracy

5. Experience of owner Project organization will be advantage

6. Willingness to travel frequently both within and outside country

7. Project Certification by a professional organization like PMI will be an advantage

Job Context:

a. Assist businesses by providing strategic inputs to ensure that the construction activities are completed safely within time and cost.

b. Monitor and review progress of projects by regular visit to sites and by creating a good working relationship with peer group in businesses.

c. Assist businesses with contracting, shortlisting of contractors, technical bid evaluation and settlement of claims

d. Co-ordinate with planning engineer for development of construction project schedule by providing factual timelines

e. Check and guide for proper safety compliance at site
