General Manager - Credit Control - Pharma - CA

The following details the role & responsibilities for this position :

Position : GM

Reporting to : CFO

Location : Ahmedabad

Educational Qualification : CA

Major Purpose of the Job :

- Be a key business partner to the finance team and the company in general, providing a rigorous and commercially astute sounding board as well as providing leadership within the finance team.

- Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation.

- Recommending credit limit based on credit rating and risk profile of the corporate; performing detailed credit rating with risk exposure / mitigation methods.

Principal Accountability:

- The person must have strong commercial sense to check viability of the contract.

- Play a vital role in maximizing revenue and mitigating the credit risk.

- Collaborate with sales team to implement an effective credit control system and resolve issues if any.

- Maintain a close liaison between the credit controller and the marketing / sales department so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.

- To handle credit assessments, setting up the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balances.

- Conceptualizing & implementing recovery strategies in case of payment defaults.

- Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness.

- Ensure that all transactions are compliant with Company's policies and regulations

- Follow up with Institution Sales Team to ensure RTGS collections are accounted for in timely manner.

- Follow up with CFA / Sales team for collection of old outstanding.

- Verification of Collections Received.

- Reconciliation and preparation of various schedules required for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reporting - both for local statutory accounts and Global Reporting.

- Handling various Audits - statutory, Internal and International.
