General Manager - Corporate/Government Affairs - IT Hardware

We have an urgent opening with one of leading IT Firm :

Location : Delhi

Role : General Manager

CTC : 45 LPA to 60 LPA

Region Handled - North & East India or South & West India or Central

Job Responsibility :

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify current and prospective trends in public policy, analyze their potential impact on ., recommend appropriate courses of action (support, suppress, redirect, initiate) and develop advocacy plans to achieve preferred outcomes.

More specifically :

- Identify policymaker goals, and creatively identify paths to reaching those goals which do not result in material impairment to business models or partner relationships. When possible, spot opportunities to align policyholder goals with long-term interests;

- Identify commercial opportunities that may arise from larger policy trends already in progress or that can be initiated with available resources and at acceptable cost;

- Develop model legislative/regulatory language through consultation with the Regional Head Quarters, Finance Department, Factory, Research Institutes-, Legal Department, other internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders who share common interest with .

- Commission and oversee internal and external research projects as needed to support policy initiatives;

- Identify and champion opportunities to utilize existing . resources to support policy initiatives;

- Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, and policy papers.

- Proactively cultivate appropriate relationships with key personnel of clients, vendors and competitors to identify common government policy interests and coordinate policy advocacy related to common threats and opportunities.

- Establish trust and familiarity with key legislative and regulatory officials in underwriting company domicile states, states where largest concentrations of business take place, and officials with regional or national leadership roles.

- Provides strategic guidance and technical assistance to business units to overcome tactical government policy challenges and help prepare the organization and its product lines to weather and, if possible, thrive on long-term policy trends.

- Strengthens position and reputation among clients, competitors and policymakers as a respected leader in subject areas central to the company's core businesses. As appropriate, undertake:

- Regulatory/legislative official engagement

- Internal stakeholder knowledge transfer

- Outreach to external stakeholders- clients, vendors, competitors

- Trade association involvement

- Work with retained counsels in the various states.

- Carries out other projects/function as directed by VP, Government Relations and the Chief Relationship Officer, South West Asia.
