We have a requirement for a Marketing / Commercial person having prior experience in International trade of bulk commodities like Phos acid, Sulf Acid, Potash, Coal, Iron Ore, Copper, Alumina etc or soft commodities.

The role requires the person to have following skills and capabilities :

- Customer relationship management

- Project Management Skills - to drive Market Development programs

- Business /Demand Planning with knowledge of execution of commodity contracts,

- Sound knowledge of international trade of bulk commodities,

- Market Analysis

- Assessment of impact of macro-economic factors on the business

- evolving Marketing Strategies in B2B business,

- Comfortable with numbers

It will be beneficial (but not a must) if the candidate is from fertilizer sector with an understanding of Indian fertilizer market, fertilizer policy.

The position requires the candidate to have sound knowledge of Commodity Marketing and the ability to interact with senior Management professionals of the industry.

The person should have a positive disposition with sound presentation skills and fluent in English both written and verbal.

It will be preferred that the new person could join with immediate effect.

We have started a new Market Development project for promotion of Potash among farmers to increase its consumption and promote Balanced fertilization. This program is executed in partnership with our customers.

The role requires to take ownership of its planning, execution and co-ordination.

- The company is the exclusive representative of CANPOTEX in India.

- Canpotex (www.Canpotex.com), a Canadian company, is the marketing arm of Canada's Potash producers (commonly known as MOP - Muriate of Potash - which is used as a key fertilizer).

- Potash is sold to long term customers in the Fertilizer sector such as Indian Potash Ltd and other leading fertilizer (Urea, DAP, NPK) manufacturers in India. 100% of India's Potash requirement is imported and Canpotex is one of the largest suppliers of Potash in India.

- RK Consulting Inc also represents FREEPORT MCMORAN for Copper Concentrate which is a raw material for smelting into copper.

- Marketing these products in India is a complex exercise as Fertilizers sector is controlled tightly by the Government of India and Ministry is actively involved in the regulation / pricing and Imports of the products.

This whole business involves :

- Very good long term relationship building with all stakeholders

- Execution

- Price negotiation which is complicated because it involves govt. policy for the period, subsidies and forex fluctuations.
