Reports to- Head Business Strategy & Development
- Lead Business Strategy plays a pivotal role in the identification and formulation of the growth strategy and operational strategy for the organization thereby helping craft out a robust growth roadmap amongst competition and constant change.
- The role is expected to contribute to defining the company's direction by keenly following and tracking business dynamics, the competitive landscape, changes taking place in the industry (domestic and global) and generating deep insights that can be leveraged for formulation of strategic and tactical plans for the business.
- Significant contribution is also expected from this role in terms of spearheading the formulation and execution of the global strategy .
- The role is accountable for constructing forecasts and analytical models to support demand and supply (current and future) projections, including but not limited to finalizing parameters, deep-diving into segments / sub-segments and variables likely to impact demand / supply, conducting analyses and making forecasts. This responsibility is extremely critical considering the extent of accuracy expected, complexity in terms of data availability and evolving business dynamics.
- Partnering with other teams in the organisation and driving / supporting the execution of strategic and operational excellence plans, be it raw material acquisition, brownfield or greenfield strategic interventions, entering into strategic partnerships / tie-ups, is another key responsibility that the role holder is expected to shoulder.
- Mergers and Acquisitions is another critical area of focus for the role, considering its strategic importance and potential impact. The role is expected to contribute to development of M&A strategy and craft out the strategic rationale for pursuing targets that could help meet the growth and expansion agenda of the business.
