General Manager - Business Finance - Expansion Team (4-8 yrs)

Job Summary

This position will be a part of the Business finance team working closely with the Expansion team, leading the business finance charter for Expansion.

The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have demonstrated the ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify the relationships between different parts of the business to drive input-output correlations to assist in planning

- Apply input-output relationships to run RCAs and weekly/fortnightly reviews with the Expansion Team

- Build frameworks for capital allocation across different BUs and assist in business optimization

- Present solution/ideas to solve for business objective across growth, economics and customer experience

- Forecast performance of the company on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to flag gaps to target well ahead of time

Job Description:

- Work closely with the expansion team to create and align PnL targets for the month, quarter and year on growth, revenue, direct costs and EBITDA

- Work closely with the Expansion teams to focus on growth metrics, investments, revenue and cost line items required to hit the targets - Hold weekly check-ins within the teams to ensure progress is on track to hit the plans

- Raise questions on business design as appropriate, e.g. where the action plan does not add up to the business ambition

- Highlight any risks to the monthly and quarterly operating on a weekly/fortnightly basis to ensure necessary action is taken or if goals needs to be re-aligned

- Design and cascade L0 goals for all the line items in the Expansion PnL

- Build and own KPI frameworks, correlating each key business outcome to a detailed set of input activities

- Use the framework during reviews and ensure than input metrics are on track

- Budgeting, forecasting and Long range planning - Drive the AOP process to build an annual plan that balances top-down ambition with bottom-up build up

- Be the custodian of Year end goal through the year - periodically develop EOY scenarios to aim Management team decision on organizational re-direction, if needed

- Liaise with CEO office to champion the annual and quarterly KPI setting process

Best Fit Profile:

- 4-6 Years of experience post qualification

- Master's in Business - Finance/Strategy or CA is preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and influence cross functional teams

- Knowledge of SQL is preferred

- Self-starter who can take ownership of deliverables with minimal direction and develop new ways of approaching business problems

- Continuous improvement attitude and fast learning ability

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
