General Manager - Business Excellence & TQM - Manufacturing

Location: Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh (From Manufacturing Industry only)

TQM Plans & Process Management

(i) Develop BE/TQM long term and short term plan in line with Business Objectives and improving operational excellence and imperatives(PQDCSM)

(ii) Annual TQM calendar preparation, validation and deployment

(iii) Periodical assessment and refinement of TQM processes

(iv) Internal & external comparison and benchmarking of TQM processes and deliverables

Total Employee Involvement (TEI):

(i) Championing 5S Model Plant drive, Lean Six Sigma, QC circles, Kaizen, Idea schemes and Autonomous maintenance/ model machine concepts in Mfg. Units

(ii) Ensure TEI in TQM processes Viz., 5S, Idea, Kaizen, SGA & LSS through timely reward & recognition and participation in internal & external competitions/best practices sharing platforms

Building People Capability: Build employee capabilities through internal & external trainings

(i) Problem identification and solving - 7QC, RCA, LSS - DMAIC, SGA-PDCA methodologies

(ii) Audit & Assessment capabilities: IMS auditors, 5S auditors, BE Assessors

(iii) Developing certified Six Sigma GB and BB professionals

(iv) Deliver training on 7QC tools, 5S, kaizen, OPL and ideas to all level of employees

Business measures/impact:

(i) Achieve TQM related Process KPIs, BSC targets and TQM Scorecard of Business Units

(ii) Review and ensure timely completion of SGA, Six Sigma projects and idea implementation by the team

(iii) Maximise certified TQM Savings through driving various business critical projects and chronic problem solving

Business Excellence:

(i) Drive Business Excellence (BE) journey of the organisation. Facilitate end-to-end BE Assessment process of EFQM Model viz., Position report preparation, internal/external assessments and action planning

(ii) Inculcating Business Process Approach

(iii) Other external award assessment processes like IMEA, F&S, CII Innovation, Golden Peacock, etc. as applicable

(iv) Prepare Annual Business Responsibility Reports (BRR)

Management Review / Governance:

(i) Ensure periodical review and audits of TQM processes

(ii) Periodical MIS and reports

(iii) Steer management review meeting by Leadership Team and share TQM management analysis and findings for approvals, resource allocation and aligning TQM initiatives with business requirements

Inculcating TQM Culture of Continuous Improvement & Best Practices Sharing

(i) Reinforce Quality initiatives through TQM & TEI events like 5S Month, Quality Month, Idea/Kaizen Mela, i-Quest

(ii) TQM Newsletter and best practices sharing for horizontal deployment

(iii) Building competitive spirit through internal/external competitions

(iv) Drive knowledge management initiatives

Candidate

Master - Chemical or Mechanical

Certification in BE, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and Quality Management

Assessment and Audit experience in TQM, 5S and IMS Audit (QMS, EMS and Safety)

20-25 years wider experience with min 10+ years at Head/Leadership level in BE/TQM/TPM/LSS/ OpEx/TEI Practices in chemical/process industry
