General Manager - Accounting & Finance - Agri-tech Startup - CA

About the Company; A fast-growing agri-tech startup building an on-demand B2B Agri-inputs marketplace. Agri-inputs is a $50 billion industry spread across Seeds, Agro Chemicals, Fertilizers, Agro-Tools and Animal Feed. Company has scaled up rapidly across India, with 10% of the overall customer universe already onboarded on the platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks

- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems

- Set up and oversee the company's finance ERP system & automation

- Managing all finance and accounting operations

- Oversee all audit and internal control operations

- Taxation, working with the auditors

- Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors

- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis

- Conduct analysis to make forecasts

- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines

Candidate Profile Requirements:

Functional Experience of:

- Book closure - Monthly, quarterly & annual closure (Tally, QB, Zoho)

- Managing AR (Account Receivables), AP (Accounts Payable), Inventory involving Inter state movement of goods

- Compliance: GST, Indirect Taxation, etc.

- Investor Relations & MIS

- Automation & Process Creation

Industry Experience:

- E-commerce/manufacturing industry

- Start-up (in rapid ramp-up stage)

- Having worked directly with Founders

Education:

- Chartered Accountant

- Hunger and Curiosity to be an Industry Leader in next 2-3 years

- Solid communication skills, with no compromise on clarity and dept

- Evidence of ownership and past success in Finance

- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices

- Common Sense, knack for numbers/data, independence and resourcefulness are table stakes
