General Electric - Plant Controller - Power Business

Role Summary/Purpose :

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Durgapur (West Bengal) Factory and work closely with the site operations leadership and operating teams to ensure standards on core financial processes including procurement, inventory management, capital expenditures and overall operational support.

Essential Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with factory management and operating teams to ensure consistency and enhance productivity

- Partner with the operating teams on delivering best in class operating performance of the factory

- Partner with the operating teams in driving optimum inventory management, review and monitor capital expenditure and financial controls

- Implement a relevant analysis to assess the progress of business processes and the execution of cash / operating profits. Consolidate financial & operating metrics, analyzing key drivers of results; Identify risks and opportunities, as well as actions to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities

- Work with the Plant Operating Leadership on various cost optimization projects

- Work with the broader finance team on ensuring compliance, financial planning, pacing cycle, reporting and controllership

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Chartered/Cost Accountant or MBA from a premier institution with at least 5 years of experience in an international environment with matrix reporting structures

- Ability to work effectively with Operations teams to achieve results and drive growth

- Strong ability to influence and lead small teams
