General Electric - Lead - Manufacturing Operations Finance Analyst - CA

Role Summary/Purpose :

The Manufacturing Operations Finance Analyst - will own the plant operating expenses and partner with cross-functional Global and Local team to drive productivity and ensure India operations remain competitive. This position will also partner closely with the Global and Local Finance Controllership organization and support US GAAP and India GAAP compliance. This position will report into GE Transportation Supply Chain Finance Leader.

Essential Responsibilities :

The candidate needs to have experience in working in a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities includes but not limited to: -

- Plant Operating Cost: Own entire expenses fixed and variable for the manufacturing plant at Marhowra plant. Establish healthy working relationship with all global plants and leverage best practices.

- Overhead Rates: Understand the Global process and comply with US GAAP for Overhead rates (NAO) & Period costs. Work towards driving visibility for specific key manufacturing processes. Support benchmarking exercise across Global Manufacturing Plants & drive excellence.

- Drive VCP for labor costs, utilization improvement, utility & significant operation costs. Own the Township and other Ancillary buildings.

- Co-own the Capital expenditure and equipment capitalization process along with India Controllership team.

- Help develop policies & Processes to improve financial reporting compliance in line with controllership & statutory requirements as well as external/internal changes.

- Build strong engagement with Finance stakeholders, Global & India Region Plant Finance & Controllership teams & provide thought leadership.

- Guide operations team on accounting & policy issues and be a strong business partner with solution oriented approach & provide controllership decision support.

- Own Cost Accounting compliance under the Cost Accounting and Reporting Rules. Partner with GET Controllership to help meet statutory compliance requirements and other CAS / Internal audit requirements.

- Work as part of the Core team along with IT on ERP (Oracle) implementation & BI tools for production reporting, of Supply Chain Modules Viz. Costing, WIP, BOM, Inventory, etc. Lead process improvements, IT enhancements to improve costing and inventory processes.

- Manage Quarterly closings, reporting and support regulatory filings for the Factory

Qualifications/Requirements :

- CA with bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance

- A minimum of 4 - 7 years- work experience in manufacturing industry in plant finance and accounting role
