We are looking for someone who will be responsible for advice and in-house legal support to Finance, Compliance, HR, IT, and any other necessary statutory processes and restructuring of subsidiaries; someone who is keen to be a part of an extremely fast-paced organisation as a Legal Counsel and can lead our high-calibre team towards rapid growth. Location - Bangalore /New Delhi Experience - 5+ years Core Responsibilities: - Responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on various contracts - Drafting and reviewing of agreements including master service agreements, repair services agreements, marketing agreements, employment & staffing services agreements, engagement letters, audit services agreements, franchise agreements, IP licensing agreements, software development agreements, lease agreements, and other commercial agreements - Reviewing and advising of global compliance and contracts - Handling legal matters related to operations, logistics, employment and staffing arrangements, product compliances, admin, and internal support functions - Liaise and manage compliance with government, regulatory, and/or judicial authorities - Monitor legal risks in the documentation and advise the business accordingly - Providing business and legal advice and guidance to internal clients and end-users regarding potential issues stemming from new and existing contracts - Working with internal clients to develop strategies to address issues identified - Coordinating with cross-functional teams in respect to contract review as appropriate - Understanding the organisation's policies that are relevant to business transactions and their impact - Managing workflow and implementing process improvements - Maintaining an understanding organisation's policies, organizational structure, and procedures - Create handbook on all essential legal topics for the assigned business units and enable the business to follow processes for successful execution of project deliverables - Advice and counsel on issues relating to service delivery contracts, any disputes, legal issues, and company policies and procedures - Ability to break down complex legal issues for the business and commercial teams to understand the associated risks and take correct informed decisions Skill and Requirements: - Legal research skills - Strong negotiation skills - Demonstrated hands-on experience in subject matter knowledge of property laws, contracts, corporate laws, statutory compliance, and labour law - Excellent strategic, research, and quantitative, analytical skills to exercise judgment and discretion to opine on compliance/ legal issues effectively - Preferred experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation as an in-house counsel - Ability to proactively on multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a commitment to quality - Excellent leadership skills - Exceptional organisation and time management skills - Extensive relevant industry knowledge to meet the organisational short and long-term goals - Strong interpersonal skills - Possess a global mindset and experience working with multiple regions and time zones - Flexibility and experience working in a high-pressure startup environment - Proactive, resourceful, sense of urgency, and highly self-motivated - Work in ambiguity and agility Education and Experience: - Bachelor's/Masters' degree in Law from a Premier Law School - 5+ years of relevant experience - Any relevant Legal certification, highly desirable Perks & Benefits : - Competitive salary package - Performance-based bonus - Laptop - Phone - Preferred candidates who can join us ASAP Grab the opportunity now and be a part of our rapidly growing organisation!
