Role Summary/Purpose

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will drive the day to day security assessments of GET products. In this role you will work with the P&L Product Managers and Engineering teams to assess and facilitate prioritization of product cyber security activities.

Essential Responsibilities

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will develop and communicate product cyber security requirements and perform residual risk assessments in accordance with GET product cyber security policy and methods.

In addition you will:

- Lead and participate in cyber security assessments on industrial components and systems

- Lead and facilitate security certifications for select GET products

- Coordinate with corporate teams in malware analysis and testing of remediation processes

- Perform detailed and technical analysis of GET products and help identify cyber security solutions

- Create, seek, and share best practices on product cyber security across GET

- Apply knowledge of industry cyber practices and international standards to produce secure solutions

- Maintain a superior knowledge of the cyber security capabilities of operating systems, networking devices, and control systems

- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable cyber security standards involving critical infrastructure, including those relating to process networks

- Leverage expertise to resolve problems during the design and development processes and in the field

- Understand technical issues and the implications to the business and communicate them to management and other business units

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited college or university

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Cyber Security, supporting industrial environments and products

- Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing security assessment tools on industrial components and systems

- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Cyber Security certifications, such as; ISASecure and Achilles

Eligibility Requirements:

- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification

Desired Characteristics

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial control system design and application in rail and/or mining sectors

- Master Black Belt / Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification

- One or more of the following Certifications; CISM, CISSP, CCIE, CSP, GIAC, PCIP, CCNA, CCNP, CITP, SSEC

- Knowledge and experience with industrial product controls and cyber security systems / network communications

- Knowledge of strong process discipline, with sound analytical and statistical skills

- Experience in project management and technical communications

- Extensive hands on experience with cyber security assessment tools and methods

- Knowledge of cyber regulations and standards

- Experience in preparation or conduction of Critical Product Cyber security audits

- Strong customer service mind-set

- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management environment

- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving ability and adept at communicating with several levels of the organization

- Strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

- Experience in interfacing with all levels of GE internal and external customers
