About this role:

Working within the Data Science team, the Team Lead will oversee the development of statistical data and analysis delivered through TalentNeuron platform. TN is part of the Big Data and advanced analytics revolution and provides insight and analysis on labor market based on analyzing a unique dataset of multibillion historical labor market. The candidate will need strong knowledge of statistics and economics with an emphasis in Data Analytics applied on Labor Market.

What you will do:

- Lead a small, co-located team of quantitative specialists (2-4 associates) and effectively manage the on-time delivery of high quality quant models

- Oversee development and documentation of data solutions and index maintenance processes including rebalancing, data publishing and calculation of indexes across different data assets

- Lead analysis of large datasets to identify actionable insights for model development; Efficiently work with large datasets and conceptualize analytical framework for quant projects

- Design and evaluate statistical modeling experiments related to Labor Market;

- Participate in the development of methodologies, tools and code used by the IT development team;

- Define and communicate goals and objectives in alignment with the TalentNeuron data science team

- Ensure quality and timeliness objectives are achieved as part of the global development workflow

- Motivate, coach, facilitate, solve work problems, address people-related issues, and be actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the team

- Create an environment oriented to team work, collaboration, open communication, creative thinking, cohesive team effort, and workplace integrity

- Cultivate process knowledge and identify areas for constant optimization and scale for growth

- Develop strong business acumen within the team and ensure team members understand their impact to the business

- Track and report on team productivity/efficiency, resource utilization, and capacity

- Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders to further improve on deliverables

What you'll need:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics or economics with 5-6 years of relevant industry experience, 3-5 years of experience with a Master's Degree;

- Experience in a quantitative field performing analytics

- Expertise in at least one of the following statistical analysis programs like R, python etc; Good knowledge of a querying language (e.g. SQL)

- Experience in managing a small team of 2-3 analysts (2 years)

- Strong knowledge of advanced functions of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, graphics, statistics);

- Ability to lead projects, working with business owners of all levels

- Excellent oral and written communication skills;

- Detail-oriented and commitment to high quality results.
