Position: Strategic Research Consultant  Overall Job Purpose and Responsibilities :   The FLORS research program aims to hire a Research Consultant for the Functional Accelerators (FA) team, and is currently accepting applications. The selected incumbent will be part of the product team addressing cutting-edge issues facing today's senior-most finance/ strategy/ operations executives at leading, global corporations. The FA team will provide you with opportunities to converse with CXOs of Fortune 500 companies, identify and creatively solve complex problems, design tools/frameworks to support members (clients) in critical processes, and help organizations transform the way they operate.  This role involves independently delivering high quality, implementation-oriented products like how-to guides (built using client interviews and secondary research), frameworks, business case decks, process maps, and tools and templates among others.  This content will be aimed at serving the needs of CXO's and their teams operating globally. The role will involve extensive qualitative research and developing insights and approaches to address key issues facing CXO's.   Consultants should have demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the Finance/Strategy/Operations Practice area/s.   Skills required :  - Ability to distill quantitative and qualitative data into important, relevant ''so what's'' for a CXO-level audience.  - Self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and managing own pieces of work.  - Strong ability and orientation towards meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects under time pressure.  - Passion for research, analysis and insight generation.  - Original and creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities.  - Desire and ability to assume a leadership role in a collaborative, fast-paced multi-cultural environment.  - High level of Personal Impact and capability to communicate with Top Management  - Good oral and written communication skills a must for this role  - Should have experience leading short term and long term projects and Ability to manage the work of junior staff on project teams.  Specific responsibilities include :   - Build a deep understanding of terrain-aligned CXOs- workflow to create actionable and insightful content  - Articulate the underlying drivers to a problem or observation (i.e. apply reasoning beyond surface-level observations) using analytical tools such as root cause analysis.  - Develop insights that are practical and actionable (not academic) grounded in terrain-aligned CXOs- workflow, and should help drive a change in behavior/ improve productivity.  - Conduct interviews with executives, academics, and industry experts in search of best practices, tools, and artifacts.  - Effectively translate CEB insights into compelling implementation products that are easy-to-use, intuitive, and can be easily integrated into the member workflow.  - Drive product and process innovations strengthen team ecosystem.  - Present research findings via both written and verbal delivery to internal and external stakeholders.  - Deliver on a regular calendar of research deliverables - white papers, webinars, tools, and blogs- around a specific Finance functional area.  Qualifications: :   - 6+ year experience at a leading consulting firm or a practitioner who has played significant role in developing organization and functional Strategy.  - Should have hands on experience in Project management  - Experience in conducting primary and secondary research, benchmarking surveys, diagnostic studies is good to have   - Strong appetite to dive deep into a given content terrain to develop expertise and distill key findings  - Demonstrated poise, maturity, and judgment in dealing with members  - Strong oral and written communication skills, with particular attention to precision of language and ability to organize information logically.  - Extensive knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint  - MBA or a Postgraduate Degree from a recognized premier Institute. Foreign - Post Graduate degree(s) in Economics will also suffice
