About This Role :

Talent Neuron supports a range of strategic initiatives covering talent, location and competitive intelligence. In specific, the team gathers intelligence and advises on key roles by location, occupation and skill set; data on where competitors are hiring and which skills and roles they are seeking; and location intelligence on where to find and hire top talent at the right price.

As a Senior Specialist - Quant and Data Science at Gartner TalentNeuron, you will be at the cutting edge of Data as a Service (DaaS) product creation, helping TalentNeuron enhance our global labor market analysis platform. You- ll work with the world's largest collection of job descriptions (4 billion and growing) and talent profile supply data to evaluate and predict skills availability, competitive intensity, hiring difficulty, and other constructs. You- ll be the first to know when a new skill or technology is emerging, which companies are hiring for it, where it is located, and what it pays.

What you- ll do:

- Work with large volumes of job descriptions, personal profiles, government population figures, and university graduation records to generate global labor market insights.

- Conduct research to develop prototypes and proof of concepts

- Lead analysis of large datasets to identify actionable insights for data model development

- Focus on developing quantitative and machine learning models to make accurate predictions for tasks as varied as salary prediction for a specific job or demand forecasts for an entire occupation.

- Oversee development and documentation of data solutions and data maintenance processes including data publishing and version control across different data assets

- Participate in the development of methodologies, tools and code used by the IT development team; meet quality and timeliness objectives as set by the global development workflow

- Communicate data models and analysis to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner, with the help of creative visualization.

- Create and thrive in an environment of teamwork, collaboration, open communication, creative thinking, and workplace integrity.

- Cultivate process knowledge and identify areas for constant optimization and scale for growth

- Represent the Data Science team in key checkpoints with Product, Advisory and IT teams in the United States (Washington, DC area) and Canada (Quebec City).-

What you will need:

- Graduation in Engineering, Economics, Math or Statistics with a master's from a premier an institution in India or abroad

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of quantitative analytics, research or data science; international work experience is a plus

- Experience of working in an international, cross-cultural environment supporting NA, EMEA-based clients

- Very comfortable with MS Office products; strong working knowledge of R, Python, SQL, VBA Macros, Power BI

- Knowledge of modern open-source tools for data manipulation, analysis, modeling, and publication

- Good knowledge of machine learning techniques

- A strategic mindset to bring out the - so what- of the data. An ability to apply logical, structured frameworks to complex problems

- Detail-oriented with high personal standard for quality and accuracy

- Effective communication and articulation (verbal and written)
