How You Will Make an Impact at Gartner:

- Senior Principals work closely with researchers, analysts, and other teams at Gartner to identify and produce research that solves complex business challenges on a global scale. As a lead contributor on this team, you will:

- Take ownership for producing a select set of highly-visible project annually, applying Gartner's proprietary research process including hypothesis generation, primary and secondary research, data synthesis, and root cause analysis to identify patterns, and build best-in-class solutions.

- Conduct phone interviews with executives, academics, and industry experts to understand industry issues, challenges and solutions.

- Engage executive roles within Fortune 500- and mid- size financial services companies to identify their most pressing priorities, and business problems.

- Partner with other researchers and guide/coach junior researchers to drive forward key interim and final deliverables.

- Lead effort to translate client issues/challenges into quantitative and qualitative methods to test hypotheses. Collaborate with Quantitative researchers to develop surveys and other tools designed to drive research process forward

- Present research findings to senior Gartner managers, lead internal research meetings and peer review sessions to gather feedback and alternative perspectives.

- Leverage multiple content types and Gartner resources in deliverables to meet the specific business needs of the executive roles that you serve.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- 7+ years of research experience

- 7+ years of experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify and produce relevant findings

- 7+ years of experience conducting primary and secondary research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data

- Experience creating graphical representations of data

- 3+years of experience managing projects

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's or PhD in a social science strongly preferred

- Experience in financial services

- 3 + years of project management experience

- Excellent data analytics and project management skills, including superior ability to produce digital-first graphics, tools and written content.

- Experience in managing research projects that incorporate multiple points of input, including interviews, quantitative findings, feedback from experts/other researchers, and other points of data.

- Demonstrated ability to relay ideas, engage clients and work in a team environment
