Specific responsibilities include:

- Mentor and provide direction and support to a team of quantitative researchers for end to end project execution, including survey and sampling design, analytics techniques, and data visualization

- Ensure that research content is guided using hypotheses-driven research design

- Coach team to translate research hypotheses into focused and engaging survey instruments

- Guide in data analyses so that outcomes clearly prove/disprove research hypotheses and tell a compelling data story

- Introduce continuous improvements for high client impact; explore and identify new methodologies/innovation to current processes

- Help team dissect problems using qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills, inductive and deductive reasoning, abstract thinking and root-cause analysis

- Coach junior team members to distill insights into high-level, strategic recommendations for the entire memberships of executives

- Manage quality and productivity of the teams- projects, triage requests as appropriate, and manage day-to-day operations of the central team

- Collaborate with team manager and peers in the US and India for strategic planning, resource planning, continuous improvements, and large-scale deliverables.

- Build and grow the team providing learning and growth opportunities

- Some individual ownership of research projects will be required

Qualifications:

- A Postgraduate Degree from a recognized premier Institute in disciplines with a strong analytics component, including Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics

- Mastery of advanced statistical concepts and in at least one statistical software package (R, Stata, SPSS, etc.)

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point

Experience:

- Total experience of 7 to 10 years at a leading survey-based research or consulting firm including: At least 5 to 7 years of demonstrated experience in large-scale design, analysis and reporting of business and consumer primary research projects; preferably in a market research agency, in a planning capacity for an end-user or consultancy organization

- At least 2 years of managerial experience with direct supervision responsibilities

- Should have experience leading short term and long-term projects and ability to manage the work of junior staff on project teams

- Demonstrated ability to write research for an Executive-level, business audience in English

Skills required:

- Survey writing and questionnaire design skills

- Desire and ability to assume a leadership role in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-cultural, global environment

- Passion for research, analysis and insight generation

- Should have strong project management experience demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to distill quantitative and qualitative data into important, relevant ''so what's'' for a CXO-level audience

- Self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and managing own pieces of work

- Strong ability and orientation towards meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects under time pressure

- Original and creative thinking and superior problem-solving abilities

- People management skills - Managing teams in a matrix reporting environment

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English a must for this role
