About the role :

- Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Project Manager/Scrum Master in India who can provide project leadership supporting Research and Consulting businesses. The candidate will be responsible for program and project management of key initiatives needed to build customer-facing web applications, back-end data engines, and data management tools.

- The candidate will be responsible for project deliverables and schedule, dependency management, relationship management with Product and Research partners, team performance and time reporting, and roadmap/release planning and execution.

- The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in an Agile/SCRUM environment, has worked closely with business partners in highly complex and technical businesses, has played a key role in supporting a customer-facing website, and has demonstrable experience managing relationships/expectations of business and development teams.

What you will do :

- Ensure Agile/Scrum process is implemented effectively and provide coaching at the team level to maximize its benefits

- Facilitate discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments

- Report project progress to management and executive-level stakeholders

- Communicate release plans with other teams and key stakeholders

- Develop processes to manage operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.

- Identify systemic operational or process issues and resolve them; identify root causes and process improvements to prevent similar issues

- Develop and track project plans in partnership with business owners and their product roadmap

- Identify, plan for, and resolve dependencies between IT, Research, and Product teams

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on associate's timesheets for Finance

- Identify issues with third-party suppliers and help IT teams resolve them through vendor management

- Become a change agent for the Research & Consulting organization, always looking for potential improvements and executing them

What you will need:

- 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience

- 3+ years of project management experience

- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

- Strong experience with the full software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (Agile)

- Deep working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery

- Preferred experience with Continuous Integration practices/tools and Open Source Frameworks

- Strong knowledge of programming documentation processes/procedures

- Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization

- Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Should be able to balance operational and development needs of Research & Consulting's different applications and tools

- Should be able to interact well with both internal associates and external clients in resolving operational issues.
