About this role:

Team is part of the Research & Advisory Strategy (R&A) organization. We power fact-based decision making by providing data, insights and analytic tools to continuously improve our business - operationally and strategically.

Research Business Analytics (RBA)

- Research content is at the core of Gartner's business. Ensuring our content continues to be cutting edge is critically important - and analytically complex.

- Will play a key role in defining, creating and delivering powerful content analytics. Responsibilities will range from operational efficiency to text & topic analytics. Our ideal candidate is as comfortable rolling up their sleeves to - get the job done- as they are leading innovation - and can back it up with a strong track record.

The Principal, RBA

What you'll do:

- Support internal Gartner stakeholders on their data needs and data related requests. Includes maintenance and ongoing enhancements of RBA content dashboards and related support requests as well as building and expanding reporting solutions.

- Help leadership understand client engagement patterns and preferences to continuously improve value delivery to Gartner clients. Includes building dashboards to answer most pertinent content engagement questions, developing analytic innovation to create new insights and answering ad-hoc data & analysis requests

- Ensure you are up to date on best practices and support the team in their growth in learning the latest analytical tools/techniques and applying it to up our team's analytic game.

- Leverage advanced knowledge of SQL and open source languages such as R/Python along with some degree of familiarity in any of the popular visualization tools such as PowerBI/Tableau to solve business problems related to data exploration and visualization.

- Provide thought leadership to help build and implement vision for the team around technical skills, business communication and standardization.

What you will need:

- 6-8 years of business experience involving analysis of large volumes of data with strong hands-on experience with analytical tools. Preferably some consulting background

Experience

- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering from a Top Tier Institute. Post Graduate degree in any discipline would be preferred

Education:

- Advanced skills in SQL and R/Python. Familiarity with visualization tools such as PowerBI/Tableau

Technical competency

- Experience in working on projects that involve transforming and analyzing large volume of data
