Job Requirements :


What you will do :


- Working as part of a team, support and contribute to the creation of Must-Have Research in Optoelectronic Semiconductor Market Sizing, Market Share, Market Forecast, Competitive Analysis, and Market and Technology Trends:


- Build and manage an excel database of all global semiconductor memory vendors; complete with contact information and revenue estimate models.


- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all research projects and deliverables that you are part of or are responsible for.


- Demonstrate complete ownership of the tasks/projects assigned.


- Actively participate in formal and in-formal knowledge sharing sessions, including Research Communities.


- Interact with the analysts and team manager regularly to update on the progress and raise flag whenever required; the communication should be crisp and clear.


- Provide market data insight and advise in your subject matter area through compelling client engagement.


- Proactively collaborate with other analysts globally to suggest and undertake improvements in the accuracy and efficiency of reporting. 


- Provide constructive feedback to peers as well as be receptive to feedback from peers.


- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate repeatable work and make self-service capabilities to improve productivity for the team.


- Follow internal processes and policies, including, HR, IT, and Finance.


What you will need :


Educational Qualification : BE/BTech from Grade A engineering colleges (specialization in Computer Science, Telecom, or Electronics will be useful). Graduate + MBA (Marketing or Ops) from leading A & B-schools is desirable.


Work experience :


- 7-9 years minimum experience in IT, Semiconductors, Telecom, or electronics industry. A good understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, its business models, the competitive landscape, and user/buyer strategies will be useful.


- Market research/consultancy experience: At least 3 years relevant work experience in a data analysis and market analysis, consultancy environment.


Domain knowledge : Strong awareness of the major issues across the IT and semiconductor industry and eagerness to learn more. A good understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, its business models, the competitive landscape, and user/buyer strategies.


MS Office Tools :


- High degree of technical competency- skill with advanced Excel, and other data management toolsets and data scraping tools is required.


- Ability to design, develop and maintain large Excel models for forecasting and strong working knowledge of other MS Office tools such as Word and Power Point.


Project management skills :


- Ability to manage time and keep projects on schedule by ensuring participation of various Insights analysts


- Experience in an extremely fast paced work environment preferably in data research, consulting or marketing/strategy


Communication skills :


- Written : A strong writing ability is mandatory. Writing efforts will require stating/staking positions, justifying those positions with facts and providing actionable analysis and recommendations.


- Oral : Skills to converse on telephone and face to face and the ability to explain complex concepts concisely.


Problem Solving : Strong analytical skills and the ability to think independently. Should be able to work on estimation problems and provide insightful and original analysis.


Interpersonal skills :


- Ability to develop cordial professional relationships with other analysts, clients and prospects


- A compelling and enthusiastic manner that drives clients to action, and guides them to success.


- Strong client presence and ability to relate to a variety of company and personality types is a must.


- Candidates must credibly represent Gartner research, methodology and strategies at multiple levels (Board, C-Level, Business Unit and Operational) and multiple client organization types (End User Client, Investors, Technology and Service Providers, Resellers, Channel Partners)
