About this role:

To bring operational efficiency and continue to delight customers, Gartner is investing in the Growth Accelerator team (GA) located in our Gurgaon Center of Excellence. Associates in this exciting team will be aligned with Research Data and Analytics Division which will support Gartner's IDEAS India CoE. As Market Research Specialist in GA, you would be expected to support the team by conducting research around pricing & profiling within the Traditional IT Infra industry across products and vendors. With direct access to client, the role also requires one to have good written communication ability to be able to research and respond to action-oriented inquiries.

What you'll do:

- Develop and maintain Pricing analysis for various vendors in systems and storage sphere.

- Benchmark vendors against industry standards

- In-depth product assessment and create product profiles for various vendors

- Discounted/ Street pricing analysis of the technology products

- Manage Gartner's extensive database of Products of OEMs. Collect, verify and analyze data on product specifications, pricing, performance and functional capabilities

- Proactively suggest and undertake improvements in the accuracy and efficiency of reporting.

- Work as part of a team and be responsible for an assigned portfolio of vendors and will be expected to provide customer support for his/her area of responsibility

- Develop strong understanding of the IT industry in general and expertise in specific domains as required

- Manage client interactions proactively and be customer-centric

- Interact with the analysts and the project manager on a regular basis to keep updated on the progress and raise flag whenever required;

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all deliverables

- Develop and maintain understanding for cloud IT market

- Follow internal processes and policies, including, HR, IT and Finance

- Provide constructive feedback to peers as well as be receptive to feedback from peers

What you will need:

- BE/B.Tech from Grade A engineering colleges (specialization in CS, Telecom or electronics will be useful)

- Graduate + MBA (Marketing or Ops) from leading A & B-schools

- 0-3 years minimum experience in Research industry (BE/BTech +MBA or BE/BTech)

- Good understanding of the IT industry

- Preferred knowledge of the traditional IT industry including Servers, Storage, Networks, Integrated Systems

- Good technical competency with advanced Excel, VBA macro (Preferred)

- Good to have knowledge of (or ability to acquire understanding of) other data management toolsets Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques using Excel, Advanced Excel or any other Tools

- Experience/ eagerness of working in an extremely fast paced work environment preferably in data research, or marketing/strategy pertaining to the IT Industry

- Possess eagerness to continue to build understanding of the IT Industry, Gartner and other aspects as need be.

- Should structure all communication in a comprehensible manner, written or oral, whether internally or externally.

- Possess problem solving skills with strong analytical - ability to think independently.

- Ability to develop relationships with team, leadership, analysts, clients and stakeholders.
