Title: Manager, Data Analytics

About the role:

Gartner's Global Product Management (GPM) group is driving transformative change in the way we provide value to clients, leveraging technology to improve client experiences and help them extract maximum value from their investments with Gartner. As part of this effort, we are setting up a Center of Excellence (COE) in the team focused on product analytics across the full product portfolio. This work will provide a standardized view of GPM success, product health and areas of opportunity. These insights will be used to prioritize investment in product innovations, resourcing and budgets. The Director, Data & Analytics will report to the MVP, Product Analytics and Insight in GPM, and partner with them to build the COE and execute on day-to-day operations related to product measurement, data analysis and actionable insight generation.

What you will do:

- Create influential data visuals for GPM KPIs

- Support the continuous improvement of insights & data visualization with proactive suggestions and examples

- Participate in diagnostic & predictive analytical projects as part of long range planning efforts to understand client role needs & likely outcomes of innovation options

- Maintain & updated the GPM KPI Data Dictionary as insights evolve

- Partner within Product Analytic & Insights team to help improve operational reporting insights as you see opportunities

What you will need:

- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's and/or Doctoral degree strongly preferred. Degrees with a concentration in statistics, data science, operations research, or finance preferred

- 5-7 years progressive analytics experience, preferably in a strategy, business intelligence, or consulting role

- Preferred experience in SaaS software environment, product management, or IT

- Modeling and forecasting experience a plus

- Dashboard creation in PowerBi a must; other analytic tools (Mixpanel, Heap, Google Analytics) preferred

- Results-oriented with excellent ability to translate questions into insight and know what questions will likely arise next to drive insight improvement

- Strong data literacy skills- ability to communicate effectively preferred

- Exceptional problem solving: Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story to influence senior level stakeholders. Demonstrated thought leadership with high business impact throughout career

- Ability to prioritize & handle multiple requests concurrently and consistently deliver superior results in a timely fashion

- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling executive-level presentations
