What you'll do:

Team development:

- Build out and develop the team via ongoing coaching and mentoring as well as longer-term training and career development.

- Partner with internal RBA team members as well as our internal clients to deliver high-value data, analysis and insight. Continuously and collaboratively prioritize efforts against areas of highest business impact.

Domain expertise and leadership

- Become a deep subject-matter expert on Gartner's analytic tools, reports & data infrastructure. Lead by example by running complex data warehouse queries and delivering valuable data and analysis in addition to leading the team.

Continuous improvement

- Continuously improve RBA India team operations and value delivery.

Stakeholder management & communication

- Build deep and lasting relationships with stakeholders within RBA and with key stakeholders.

What you'll need:

Business experience: 

- 10+ years of progressive business experience involving data and analytics. Experience working with US-teams and ideally working in the US.

Team Leadership: 

- Experience in growing, developing and managing (including mentoring and motivating) teams of 10+ members - preferably closely working with US-based teams; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Exceptional problem solving: 

- Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively and using data to tell a story to influence senior level stakeholders. Demonstrated thought leadership with high business impact throughout career.

Technical Competency : 

- Demonstrated ability to quickly master advanced software tools. Advanced Excel required. Skill with SQL, Power BI, Toad Data Point or VBA. Python a plus.

Success in fast-paced environment

- Track record of success in fast-paced environment with competing and continuously evolving priorities.

Leadership:

Willing to lead by example and spend >50% of time on individual contributor deliverables. Experience in working in both India- and US-centric cultures  and bridging the two.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred. Combination of India and US-based education preferred. Technical degree a plus, e.g. engineering, operations research, statistics, data science.

Collaboration: strong collaboration and influencing skills in highly matrixed environment; note this role will require some overlap U.S. east coast morning hours.

Communication : Outstanding verbal and written communication - structured, engaging and compelling.
