About this role: - The Research Business Analytics (RBA) team is part of the Research &amp; Advisory Strategy organization. We power fact-based decision making by providing data, insights and analytic tools to continuously improve our business - operationally and strategically. We are growing our team substantially and we are looking for a Director, RBA to help us evolve our rapidly expanding India team to the next level.&nbsp; - The Director will be based in Gurgaon and manage a team of five associates who support our US-based teams with data, analysis and insights. We are transitioning from a US-based to a locally-based management model in order to deepen team coaching and development on-site. The new leader will help us further expand and develop the team in Gurgaon over the coming year. - The new leader will accelerate the learning &amp; development trajectory of the India team and elevate the overall value contribution. He/she will build strong relationships with their US-based fellow RBA team-members and stakeholders. He/she will also lead by example - rolling up their sleeves and acting as a - player coach. We have big ambitions for our team in India&nbsp; and we are looking for a seasoned leader that can help us turn them into a reality. What You'll do: - Team development: Build out and develop the team via ongoing coaching and mentoring as well as longer-term training and career development. - Partner with internal RBA team members as well as our internal clients to deliver high-value data, analysis and insight. Continuously and collaboratively prioritize efforts against areas of highest business impact. - Domain expertise and leadership: Become a deep subject-matter expert on Gartner's analytic tools, reports &amp; data infrastructure. Lead by example by running complex data warehouse queries and delivering valuable data and analysis in addition to leading the team. - Continuous improvement: continuously improve RBA India team operations and value delivery. - Stakeholder management &amp; communication: build deep and lasting relationships with stakeholders within RBA and with key stakeholders. What You'll need: - Business experience: 10+ years of progressive business experience involving data and analytics. Experience working with US-teams and ideally working in the US. - Team Leadership: Experience in growing, developing and managing (including mentoring and motivating) teams of 10+ members - preferably closely working with US-based teams; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. - Exceptional problem solving : Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively and using data to tell a story to influence senior level stakeholders. Demonstrated thought leadership with high business impact throughout career. - Technical Competency : Demonstrated ability to quickly master advanced software tools. Advanced Excel required. Skill with SQL, Power BI, Toad Data Point or VBA. Python a plus. - Success in fast-paced environment: track record of success in fast-paced environment with competing and continuously evolving priorities. - Leadership: Willing to lead by example and spend &gt;50% of time on - individual contributor- deliverables. Experience in working in both India- and US-centric cultures - and bridging the two. - Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred. Combination of India and US-based education preferred. Technical degree a plus, e.g. engineering, operations research, statistics, data science. - Collaboration: strong collaboration and influencing skills in highly matrixed environment; note this role will require some overlap U.S. east coast morning hours. - Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication - structured, engaging and compelling.
