About this role:

- Research Data & Analytics (RDA) provides a high quality primary research management and advice service. The Data Manager will manage and perform primary research project's data processing and results delivery.

- The Research Data & Analytics (RDA) Team is currently seeking a

- Data Manager to work on primary research projects for research supporting Magic Quadrant, Research Circle and various branded and non-branded research notes for our Global technology and business practices.

- The Data Manager would be responsible for cleaning, transforming and processing of the primary research survey data. The data manager would be partnering with project partners on analysis and delivery of the data as per business requirement.

What you'll do:

A Data Manager is responsible for:

- Understanding the project objective and provide inputs on survey design and questionnaire development during research design.

- Clean, check and code all raw data prior to tabulating results based on Gartner data quality standards and using primary research data expertise and best practices throughout the process.

- Produce tabulated results for projects and oversee vendors or other internal staff if this needs to be outsourced to a vendor partner.

- Deliver all required results for projects in an agreed upon time frame. These results may include any or all of the following:

- Tabulated data tables in Excel

- PowerPoint slide deck.

- Raw data in Excel including summarized verbatim responses in Excel

- Special tabulation or cross-tabulation requests which may involve the creation of new calculated variables

- Self-serve dashboarding tools (such as Power BI)

- Exploring and implementation of new tools and features to improve quality of deliverables and efficiency in the process.

- Automating and streamlining the projects and process using various tools and techniques.

- Programming online surveys as needed on internal or Magic Quadrant research projects.

Who you are

- 3 - 5 years of Market Research industry knowledge

- Worked with one or various data applications such as SPSS, Q, SAS, etc.

- Understanding of and proficiency with data tables, graphs and charting techniques.

- Possesses a good understanding of data & statistical techniques, has an analytical mindset and can learn new tools and techniques quickly.

- Familiar with survey programming and data reporting tools such as ConfirmIT, Decipher, Qualtrics, etc.

- Experience with business analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau, etc would be a plus.

- Knowledge and experience of programming languages such as Python or R would be an added advantage.

- Experience with B2B market research would be a plus.
