About the team:

Global Sales Operations is a division within Gartner which encompasses Sales Technology, Sales Productivity, Territory Planning & Analytics, Sales Learning & Development, Operational Management, and Sales Communications & Proposals. This role is part of Territory Planning and Analytics team.

Job description

- Partner with Gartner's sales leaders to define growth needs and design profitable territories that align with corporate sales strategy and guidelines

- Analyze internal and external data to identify trends and characterize market opportunity at various levels (e.g., region, industry, local area, company) to inform the corporate sales strategy

- Provide sales leaders with detailed description of respective territories to enable effective communication and planning with the sales professionals on their team

- Identify opportunities for efficiency and growth and help sales leaders achieve growth targets

- Independently and completely own high-complexity analytical projects that entail detailed analysis of internal and external client, prospect and market data to provide senior sales leaders information and advice to maximize sales revenue

- Provide sales leaders with detailed analysis of respective territories to enable effective decision-making, communication and planning with the sales professionals on their team

- Drive regular and multiple custom data analyses to inform decision-making of Gartner's sales leaders and C-level executives

Essential must-have skills :

- 1 to 3 years of management/process/business consulting experience required

- Post-graduation in management and business administration/MBA

- Exceptional analytical skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases, etc. Analytical skills include running regression analysis, modeling scenarios, testing hypotheses

- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills to enable direct and frequent conversations with senior leaders in Gartner (VP/RVP/SVP/GVP level)

- Demonstrated ability to form relationships with and influence very senior leaders

- Ability to deal with ambiguity and independently own project from start to finish
