Candidate should be hands-on, passionate, results-oriented technical leaders that will own, define, architect, build and integrate scalable environments, tools and processes. They should have prior experience building cloud native environments and enabling software development teams to build, test and release quickly. - You'll also be at the forefront of defining and delivering the next generation of enterprise monitoring and observability platform, built for teams who build and operate their code in production. With your deep knowledge of software design and application programming coupled with your experience in building monitoring solutions that serve the needs of your team and company, you will lead your team in embracing leading-edge technologies to build a platform that serves as a model for the industry. You strive hard to forge strong working relationships that cross organizational lines to better empathize with your customers and ensure that you- re constantly solving for them. As the leader of our Shared Services team, you will lead a talented group of engineering leaders & individual contributors that create innovative ways to enable developers to easily and quickly author & publish high quality software. You will actively collaborate with the Product Development, Product Management and Release Management leads to continuously increase the quality and reduce risks in agile development environment. Key responsibilities : - Hand-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, FluentD, OpenTracing, Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, etc. - Builds best-in-class automated build and deploy capability by partnering with our product teams focusing specifically on: - Data Seeding and techniques to ensure that the Company has a solid data seeding approach and library - Availability of production-like environments for all stages of testing - Leading our performance test function - Creating automated deployment gates where it makes sense and there's availability of good tests and environments to promote quick deploys - Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals - Deep understanding of SRE philosophy, technologies, platforms and tools, SLA management, incident resolution, and automation. - Hands on experience on managing operations of large scale internet-centric production environments for application or infrastructure services serving tens to millions of end users. - Build a team of engineers and Java developers to build this platform - Work with Architecture to design reusable patterns to deploy to applications, provide governance around adoption, and influence application development teams on roadmaps and designs. - Identify and partner with Infrastructure teams and AD teams to implement automation opportunities to reduce technical debt. - Partner with our product teams to understand their product requirements and provide non-production environments for test, validation and pre-deployment activities - Partner with our InfoSec team to have tooling for secure introduction available - Understands that consumer-facing and internal-facing applications have differing needs while building a generic platform REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent - 10+ years of software engineer experience and/or site reliability engineering in one of the following languages: C, C++, Java J2EE technology stack and web technologies /, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby or shell scripting (Unix/Linux) - 7+ years- experience in Developing monitoring tools and log analysis tools to manage operations managing and/or influencing infrastructure services ensure application service uptime and user experience developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging and DB services such as Casandra, MQ/JMS/Kafka, Aurora, RDS, Cloud SQL, BigTable, DanamoDB, Cloud Spanner, Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc. - 16+ years of experience in software industry. - Design, implement and roll out solutions that support home-grown, open source and 3rd party solutions to provide a high-performing continuous delivery pipeline that fits with the development teams- needs - Provide strategic direction and continuously improve a delivery pipeline for a multi-site development team including source code repository, build solutions, continuous integration/delivery infrastructure, test frameworks, packaging/container and deployment tools - Establish processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including validation rules, branch/merge processes, and adherence to security and compliance requirements - Investigate and recommend best practices for maintaining code quality, including development of code metrics, code review workflows, code coverage measurement and the efficient use of static and dynamic analysis - Experience establishing Continuous Delivery models - Ability to establish enterprise automation tools - Previous management of an operations-facing team, with multiple direct reports - Background in working in a cloud computing technologies - Experience with implementing micro services architecture like Kubernetes and Docker
