ESG Manager
Custodian of ESG policies:
- Responsible for designing, modifying and implementing project specific ESMS
- Responsible for appointing a suitable consultant to carry out studies as required by investors like ESG screening, ESIA scoping and an IFC compliant ESIA
- Ensure that contractual clauses are incorporated to take care of the ESG and HSSE requirements by contractors
- Ensure implementation of the Project Environmental and social management systems and Plans
- Adopt existing systems and plans to suit the requirement of the specific project
- Ensure that site staff are carrying out all activities under their scope of work
- Ensure all documentation at site is being maintained according to the ESMS
- Ensure Training calendar is set for the year and appropriate trainings are imparted periodically by all contractors as well as AMPYR staff
- Ensure timely reporting (Weekly, monthly and quarterly)
- Ensure availability of PPE at site
- Ensure internal and external audits are conducted in timely manner. Engage with consultants on external audits and ensure smooth transfer of information to consultants to obtain best possible report.
- Other duties as decided by management in the area of health and safety and ESG
- Engaging with NGO's for implementation of community development activities. The activities to be decided based on a collaborative effort from the NGO, CFM and Ampyr. Impact assessments to be a part of the agreement with the NGO or any third party.
- Periodic site visits to assess the implementation status.
- Accompany investors to site for ESG audits.
