We manage a workforce of nearly 657,000 employees worldwide.  Position: Senior Vice President - HR  Location: Gurgaon  Purpose of role and responsibility:  - Has overall accountability and responsibility for leading Operational HR partnering for the business, develop and administer all human resource initiatives and provide HR support to all departments and serve as a partner/ trusted advisor for the business.   - Identify HR imperatives and drive implementation of initiatives through the HO, Hub, Branch business partners.   - Work closely with all levels of the organization including the senior management team.   - Scope of the position includes providing sound and timely advice on resourcing needs, compliance and employment legislation as required. Lead employee retention and engagement.  - The position will be responsible for all aspects of direct workforce and transaction centre services involving strong process orientation.   Role Expectations at G4S:  - Direct Workforce - Responsible for all aspects of direct workforce and transaction centre services (hence process orientation is a must)   - Recruitment of Direct labour force - Drive and Monitor recruitment and work with Direct recruitment team to ensure fulfillment in line with business plan   - Retention - Engage, motivate and retain workforce through effective communications, organization wide retention programs.   - Engagement - Implement reward and recognition schemes, communicate new schemes as appropriate with relevant guidelines in order to ensure that talent is appropriately recognized, motivated and developed. This will be across indirect and direct workforce. Strategies will be different for the 2 groups of employees   - Union / Employee relations   - Health and Safety - Drive and ensure observance to highest standards of G4S Health & Safety norms in all areas of work   - Compliances - Drive compliances pan India including Client interface for ensuring retention of clients as well as remaining a compliant company   - Training and development improve the talent capability of our workforce   - Employee Disciplinary Action Process (EADP) - Lead and manage the process of investigation and action taken on Employee Grievances / Disciplinary issues / Workplace Harassment, Violation of ethical norms. Monitor compliance with policies; Manage critical incidents; Handle grievances; Track and report issues and actions taken. Provide coaching and counselling in order to build a motivated team; and ensure smooth and cordial relations   - HR Policies and Procedures - Establish and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the various operating sites of the India Cluster organization. Act as the local champion of business ethics and safety in the local organization and ensure that all HR policies and programs are executed in compliance with local labour laws and Company's principles.  Education and background:  - Professional HR degree with 17 - 20 years of experience   - Age Group flexible for the right candidate. Could up in age for the right experience   - Could have reached his max potential in his current organisation and would look at coming at no. 2 position of a large set up like G4S   - Brings in gravitas and able to influence senior stakeholders   - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in relevant industry and domain  Skills and Experience:  - An EXPERT possessing domain knowledge and expertise   - High degree of Process Orientation   - Experience in large scale direct recruitment   - Expert in Union and Employee Relations   - Possesses experience or knowledge of large scale training and development of large direct workforce   - Handled large employee numbers   - Strong on processes   - Possesses bias for action   - Is able to influence in the environment he operates   - Operationally very strong, yet can think strategic and have a big picture   - Has managed large HR teams   - Demonstrates visible leadership   - Exposure to Health and Safety and can drive Health & Safety
