Purpose of the role :
1 Managing prophet modeling team
2. Managing Business Planning team
3. Evaluation of Business Deals
4. Preparing management reports on new business profitability
5. Predictive modeling to prevent fraudulent claims
Description of the Role :
Shareholder Reporting:
1.Ensuring monthly delivery of dashboard (budget vs actual comparison) to be provided to various channel heads and the CEO.
2. Internal Reporting of New Business Margins to various departments (Finance, Strategy, Risk, etc.)
3. Training channels on profitability metrices (through presentations, on-site workshops, etc.)
4. Constant monitoring to provide advise on product mix and how to improve profitability
Business Planning & Business Deals:
1. Business Plan projections and related metrics
2. Performing stress/sensitivity testing on business plan projections
3. Projecting cash flows and assessing financial viability of partnership distribution deals
4. Ongoing review of deals
5. Any other Analytical activities required to be carried out as and when required.
Prophet Modeling and Claims Modeling:
1.Modelling new products in Excel and prophet for reserving and Embedded Value calculations
2. Oversee maintenance of a timely, accurate, well-documented, and comprehensive modeling process, including UAT
3. Liasoning with Pricing, Valuation and Embedded Value teams for making required changes to prophet workspace
4. Constantly monitoring and enhancing mortality risk model to prevent fraudulent claims
Education & Experience:
- Should have cleared 12+ actuarial exams, with consistent exam pass history
- 4 to 7 years of life insurance experience
Competencies :
1. Technical Actuarial Knowhow
2. Proficiency in understanding actuarial cash flows
3. Critical eye for Detail
4. Working knowledge of MS - Excel, VBA, Prophet and R programming
5. Adept in multi-tasking and handing multiple processes
