Furlenco - Senior Manager - Vendor & Supply Chain

Furlenco is looking for a Sr. Vendor Manager role to actively manage the buying for various categories of products at Furlenco. Senior Vendor Manager is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the business inputs, financials, stocks and vendor communications to manage the overall supply-side at Furlenco.

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

- Own the sourcing strategy and planning for various sub-categories.

- Setup strong strategic vendor partnerships that drive better customer experience, quality and pricing.

- Should demonstrate strong functional knowledge of retail buying and selling and should be able to think strategically and tactically with business long-term in perspective.

- Grow the vendor base, improve commercial terms, and build long-term relationships with vendors for various sub-categories.

- Internally liaise with various teams across Design, Quality, Operations, Sales and Finance.

- Monitor and forecast market intelligence and supply trends and issues and determine potential risks, opportunities and actions for Furlenco to achieve supply continuity and best value.

- Planning and forecasting for all sub-categories and components and consumables for in-house refurbishment.

- Treat suppliers with respect while holding them accountable for all aspects of delivery (product quality, cost, delivery)

Basic Qualifications:

- MBA from a reputed university.

- Similar work experience of 4-5 plus years in procurement/buying function, retail planning and buying, and vendor/category management.

Other Criteria:

- High ownership with a strong work ethic is a must.

- Good analytical skills with past experience is preferable.

- Proven negotiation skills, experience in leading teams and cross-functional projects.

- Willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done in a constantly evolving environment

- The e-commerce/Furniture industry experience is a plus
